Experience The Sandbar

A thirty second experiential video that captures the beautiful location, atmosphere, and ambiance of The Sandbar.

Introduction

Pulling back in a drone shot we reveal The Sandbar’s unique and appealing local. Subsequent drone shots place the restaurant in the heart of Granville Island. Later, we’ll see closeups of the fish market and POVs from the water taxis.

Get into the space

It’s important to get to the point in our video. In today’s age, people click away from content all too quickly. Let’s get inside the space and show the audience some of The Sandbar’s best features. The beautiful food, the sushi bar, and the views.

Come closer

We want to get up close and show off some good-looking food. This isn’t just a bar - it’s a beautiful restaurant with gorgeous food. Hear the sizzle of a fish on the wood-fired grill, and the swish of a knife cutting up a sushi roll.

Show enjoyment - feel enjoyment

When you see someone laughing - you laugh. When we show an audience a good time can be had - they want to have a good time. Let’s make sure to have an energetic camera capturing energetic people. Smiles, laughter, and drinks clinking.

Example Video - Look/Feel

This video demonstrates our intent for look, texture, and feeling. The colours and saturation are also great demonstrations of our goals. Shooting on anamorphic lenses and keeping a consistent depth of field will be key.

Example Video - Sound

We intend to envelop viewers with the sounds of the locale. Tell a story through sound. Hear the birds, feel the clink of cutlery, and hear the laughter from tables. This video is a good example of how sound can set a tone.
