ZADA - SNAKES & LADDERS

Zada sings and dances with 2 backup dancers. We intercut between choreographed dance, Zada singing solo to camera, and prepared b-roll shots for key song moments. Shot in 1 studio location with dynamic coloured lighting and camera movements.

Prepared B-Roll Concepts

  • Snake on Zada’s arms.

  • Congas at the ending.

  • Re-Projection of camera

Performance Scenarios

  • Zada with 2 backup dancers (extensively covered)

  • Tight profile of Zada - Moving lights across her face and the background

  • Dynamic movement through the space, ZADA performing to camera

Video References

Lighting and content reference. This video shows what can be achieved in a simple space with dynamic lighting and effects. Our video differs by changing the colours to better reflect Zada’s style.

  • Lighting

    • Dynamic, moving, volumetric lighting

    • Creating movement in an otherwise static environment

    • Saturated colours (PINK, BLUE, GREEN)

  • Filtration

    • Streak filters/flares to accentuate the dynamic lighting

    • Adds more visual interest to each shot

Dance reference. This video is a good example of how much dance and movement is possible for 3 people within an imaginary 10ft by 10ft square. It also shows a similar intent with the dance where it is not the only focus of the video. The dance is a large aspect, but there is more going on with content and visuals as well.
